The Spindrift Studio is a book cafe which opened in 2013 providing a simple menu packed with fresh flavours. Alongside our huge range of secondhand books we also promote and support new creative writing in the north east of Scotland and celebrate Banff writers, past and present. We provide facilities for writers to meet regularly as a group, use the facilities individually and operates a writing buddy scheme. New for 2015: invitations for submissions to the New Writing Banff: In Byron's Wake anthology.
POEM OF THE WEEK
My house Is granite It fronts North, Where the Firth flows, East the sea. My room Holds the first Blow from the North, The first from East, Salt upon The pane. In the dark I, a child, Did not know The consuming night And heard The wind, Unworried and Warm – secure.
