New Writing Banff was set up to celebrate the literary heritage of the north east while  supporting, encouraging and promoting new writing through fortnightly group meetings, workshops and festivals.

By way of marking Byron's links to Banff we are calling for submission for entry in the inaugural anthology: New Writing Banff: In Byron's Wake. Iit was believed that Byron's links with Banff were tenuous, we now know otherwise, so we invite submissions from writers with links to Banff, however tenuous. Poetry, prose, fiction and non-fiction in any form of English used in Scotland. Poetry max 40 lines; prose max 3,000. Deadline 1st September 2015. Submissions should be sent in the body of an email (not attached) to:

These sessions are informal and friendly where we share work, ideas and experiences. New writers are always welcome.

 

Newcomers and visitors to the area always welcome.

 

Writing exercise involves writing a 2,000 word piece of prose with the theme of 'LOSS'
